About
OrbitCubs CRM is a customer relationship management app for sales, service and marketing teams that runs entirely on free-tier infrastructure, so there is no per-seat licence and no server bill.
Who it is for
Small and mid-sized teams who need a shared record of customers, deals and support cases, and who do not want to pay per seat for it. It also suits solo operators and side projects that outgrew a spreadsheet but cannot justify a commercial CRM subscription.
What it covers
- Sales — pipeline, opportunities, quotes, orders, products and price books.
- Relationships — accounts, contacts, leads and a consolidated customer view.
- Service — support cases and a knowledge base.
- Marketing — campaigns and audience segments.
- Insight — reports, dashboards and forecasting.
- Administration — users, roles, permission sets, custom objects and audit logs.
How the free-tier architecture works
Data and sign-in run on the Firebase free tier. The interface is a React app that does most of its work in your browser, which is what keeps the running cost at zero. The same codebase is packaged as an Android app with Capacitor.
The honest trade-off: free-tier quotas are real. Firestore allows a fixed number of reads per day, so a very large team hitting the system continuously will outgrow it — at which point a paid tier becomes the sensible answer.
Who builds it
OrbitCubs CRM is built by Ahsan Mahmood. The source lives on GitHub, and bugs and feature requests are handled through the public issue tracker.
Frequently asked questions
Is OrbitCubs CRM really free?
Yes. There is no per-seat charge and no subscription. It is designed to run inside the free tiers of the services it depends on, which is why there is no server cost to pass on.
Which platforms does it run on?
The web app runs in any modern browser, and there is an Android build made with Capacitor. There is no iOS build.
What happens if my team outgrows the free tier?
Firestore free-tier quotas cap daily reads. A team that exceeds them can move the same project onto a paid Firebase plan — the application code does not change, only the billing plan behind it.
